Date: 6 June 2015 Total distance: 50 Kilometers Start Time: 5:45 am Return Time: 9:15 am With: Sushanth, Manav, Amar, Abhishek and Prabhu Altitude Profile: Got a call from Sushanth that he was going trail biking to Turahalli Forest near Banashankari along with an office colleague and enquired if I wanted to join? Had never been trail biking so readily agreed. I was told to meet up with Sushanth at Udupi Gardens, BTM layout. Left home at 5:45 am and reached BTM Layout at 6:00 am. By the time everyone assembled it was around 6:30 am and we then proceeded towards Turahalli forest. Reached the place around 7:30 am and started along the trail. Even though it is called forest, it is more of a nature trail which is used for nature walks, trail biking and bird watching. It is a beautiful location with the eucalyptus trees being lined up to form a nice trail. I had been thinking of doing Coorg, Chennai or Goa. I wanted to set the marker to test my physical ability. Had a few close calls with respect to doing either Hampi or Belgaum in the earlier weeks but the dates did not work out since friends were busy. The trip was originally planned to be done in February last week, but due to the confusion over Hampi and Belgaum, it was postponed. Finally, in March 1 st week, I was done waiting and decided that I would leave on Thursday, 5 March 2015. I had to decide on the location. Had already been to Coorg and Chennai, so decided that I would cycle to Goa. Read up on the internet about people who have already done the ride.
