The route almost dates back to the time when I purchased the MTB. However, I had never managed to schedule the ride. The main factor which held me back was doing the distance in one day. Now with the experience of riding in the brevets I knew that the distance was not a concern. The weekend was free and there was the possibility of extending another day. With a tentative plan to ride for 2 days I decided to ride to Chennai on the first day and to Pondicherry with a stop at Mahabalipuram on the second day. If I had a third day I planned to ride back to Bangalore from Pondicherry. It was a last minute plan and I spent a few hours trying to plan out the time for the ride to Chennai.
