Basavana Betta is known as the Nandi Hills of South Bangalore which is approximately 100 kilometers from Bangalore. I got to know that the climb up the hill is extremely difficult and is more difficult than the Nandi climb. I had planned to ride to Barachukki falls on Saturday, 26 September, however, it was raining all night and it continued to rain at 3:00 am. I cancelled the ride as I did not want to get drenched right from the start. I decided that I would ride on Sunday, however did not want to ride 260 kilometers and tire myself for Monday since it is going to be a busy 3 days for me with the tax filing last date being 30 September. London Edinburgh London (LEL) 2022 Edition

7 August to 12 August Distance: 1,540 kilometers Allotted time: 128 hours 20 minutes Start time: 7 August 2022, 8:15 am Finish time: 12 August 2022 8:47 am Time taken: 120 hours 32 minutes About the ride: London–Edinburgh–London (LEL) is a randonnée bicycle event of approximately 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) over an out-and-back course between the capital cities of London (England) and Edinburgh (Scotland). LEL is the flagship event of Audax UK, it is held every four years. The 2021 edition (being held in August 2022 due to the covid pandemic) will be the 9 th edition of LEL. I was introduced to LEL in 2017 when 3 riders from Bengaluru went to United Kingdom to attempt the ride. Thanks to Mohan Subramanyam, Satish Addanki and Ashok Tiruvengadam for attempting the ride and to Mohan Subramanyam for letting us know about his LEL experience on his return. Kolar Gold Fields - Kuppam - Krishnagiri

Date: 3 June 2017 Total distance: 256 Kilometers Start Time: 5:00 am Return Time:  8:15 pm With: - Altitude Profile: Koramangala – Kolar Gold Fields - Kuppam - Krishnagiri - Koramangala I had to cancel the ride the previous week due to the rains in Bangalore. A week had passed by and I was itching to go for a ride. The plan started with going for a 2 day ride and as the week progressed due to the uncertainty on the work front I had to settle on a day ride. I had a few options on the location front. The only thing that I did not want to do was combine a ride and trek this weekend. That ruled out the locations on Tumkur Road and tilted the balance in favour of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). The plan was to ride to KGF which is about 100 kilometers one way. I had a couple of return options, try the interior route through Malur or ride back on the Old Madras Road, ride to Mulabagal before getting back on the Old Madras Road or ride to Krishnagiri and return on Hosur ...
